When It Comes Down To It.......

October 11, 2005 / by usesomecommonsense

New Orleans, Missippi, Alabama, Texas, Pakistan...lets see who do we help first? I think we should look at the list to see who offered aid to us durning the whole Katrina thing and give them top priority. which puts Pakistan way down there on the list.
But wait...we have to change the minds of all those Muslims who live there because if we don't they may go and support Al Quaeda because we didn't rush to their aid and make ourselves know as a foce of good who is there to bail eveyone out just so they won't go and join our enemies. My thought is LET THEM! Perhaps they will get the hint when there are bombs and arms fire going off all around them that we won't be blackmailed into lending a helping hand. We do it because we want to help our allies. Currently they are not! Let's make them wish they had died in the earthquake when they pick up arms against us.
I know that as a Christian I have been taught to turn the other cheek and forgive them for their nearsightedness. But the memory of who helped us with Katrina is still too fresh and we are still in need as well. Add to that the fact that some of their people are going across their own boarders to hunt down our soldiers and I say bring it on! You can die the same way as the rest of your heros.

The government of Pakistan has been a big help to us in the war in Afghanistan. Their army has suffered many casualties along their border with Afghanistan and in fighting terrorists who have fled into Pakistan. I would cut Pakistan a little slack. They are a poor country which has had a massive earthquake and they have been a friend for many years.

As a Christian we must help all people everywhere. As bad as Katrina was, fortunately only 1000 people lost their life. In Pakistan, the known death toll today is over 25,000, with 50,000 severly injured, and over a million homeless. Yes, this great country should help them and be thankful for how lucky we are.
